Eli’s story starts with triathlon, which he began competing in when he was just 6 years old. After almost a decade of competing internationally for Team USA for short-course triathlon. During his time as a triathlete, he was ranked #1 in the United States by landing on multiple World Cup podiums. At the end 2020,  Eli decided to step away from the sport and instead pursue trail/ultra running. Eli immediately found success in the sport, qualifying for the 2022 Mountain Running Championships in Chiang Mai, Thailand and finishing 5th in the overall series rankings for the Golden Trail World Series. He made even greater improvements in 2023 with the highlight of the season being his 2nd place finish at the Marathon Du Mont Blanc. Aside from racing and training, Eli also enjoys studying and researching human physiology and training philosophies.

Tabor Hemming

Born and raised in a small mountain town in Colorado, Tabor grew up running and competed for the University of Colorado-Boulder. While there, she was a multiple time All-American, school record holder, NCAA qualifier, and helped secure her teams’ win at the  2018 NCAA XC Championship by placing 15th. After college, she decided she needed a change and alongside Eli made the switch to the trails. In her first competitive year, she became the 2022 US Mountain Running Champion and secured her spot to Worlds as well. In 2023, she continued to improve and was able to secure several Top 10 finishes in the Golden Trail World Series races. In addition to training and racing, she has a passion for Ayurvedic medicine and cooking.

As all good love stories start, it began with Tabor sliding into Eli’s Instagram DM’s enticing him with coffee to go on a date! Eli said yes, mostly because of the coffee, but later found out that Tabor was even better. They started dating soon after and connected over their love of begin outside either running, cycling, skiing, drinking coffee, and competing at the highest levels in sport. In 2021 they collectively decided to make the switch over to trails so that they would be able to spend more time with one another. It proved to be a game changer not only in their happiness, but performances as well. Soon thereafter, they got married, moved back to Tabor’s family’s 5th generation cattle ranch to work, train, coach, and create a life together along with their dog Muffins.
